Open: April 1st to October 31st
Overview: The site is in the Mendip Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Set in your own private corner of the meadow, the yurt is an oasis for wild life. You may be lucky enough to get a visit from our local deer who often amble into the meadow, normally in the morning. You will certainly be serenaded by the wild birds.
The yurt has a king sized brass bed and the bedding is Egyptian cotton. The skylight lets you stargaze all night. You have an electric blanket for extra comfort on chilly nights. The veranda is great for watching the sun sink at the end of the day. Hammocks are available outside. We have some impressive sunsets over the Severn Estuary from May through to August.
You have your own private hot shower and wash house next to the yurt, the toilet is a compost toilet. You have a kettle, toaster and single hot plate in your yurt so you don’t even need to brave the elements for a cuppa on chilly mornings.
There are well regarded pubs within walking distance at either end of the Batch. The Crown and the Nelson at the bottom of the hill, the Star at Star and the Swan in the opposite direction and Thatcher’s Railway Inn over in Sandford.
Churchill is a village on the western edge of the Mendip Hills, about 8 miles east of Weston-super-Mare, and about 15 miles south-west of Bristol.
There are many walks, cycle paths, climbing. Cheddar
